Griffin Soccer to begin 8th season with
Sunnyvale Alliance Soccer Club:
July 2008: Extensive coaching program to begin August 2008
Griffin Soccer will be providing coaching clinics for players and coaches
during the Fall season. Player clinics will comprise of individual, team and
age group sessions; Coach clinics will be offered covering technical, tactical
and laws of the game.
Saturday morning U6 clinics and a comprehensive schedule of Sunday
afternoon clinics will be posted once the schedule is finalized.
All coaches are welcome to attend any session.

PHOENIX FUTSAL - 5 v 5 indoor soccer
Jan 2008: Winter indoor soccer program
This winter saw the kick-off of the inaugural season of Futsal offered by
Griffin Soccer. This fast-paced indoor soccer variation features a low bounce
ball and constant end-to-end action without the assistance of walls. Players
aged 5-18 have been participating in a 10-week program on Sunday
afternoons at Columbia Neighborhood Center in Sunnyvale.
The innovative "Practice then Play" curriculum allows players to receive
professional training and then play a regular refereed Futsal game.

Inaugural US Soccer Fitness 1 Course:
Jan 2006: Coach Ransome was selected to participate in the inaugural US
Soccer Fitness 1 Course at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
Candidates received theoretical and practical insights into the
conditioning practices for the US National teams. Attendees were also
able to watch the US Men's National Team train prior to squad selection
for the World Cup. The course concluded with a comprehensive
examination of all topics that were covered during the three day seminar.
Positive Coaching Alliance National Award Finalist:
May 2005: Andrew Ransome named Positive Coaching Alliance
Double-Goal Coach Award National Finalist. Andrew was selected as one
of fifteen national finalists by the PCA in their Double-Goal coaching
program.
